Yesterday, I read some article on the first page of the newspaper. It was a report about a meeting between the Jordanian prime minister and his Syrian counterpart. It was that kind of article were you loose interest in after going through the first few lines, the usual bs the newspapers spam us with to fill the 40 pages they have to fill. Anyways, just as I was shifting into some other article I stopped at a sentence that said “the two parts signed 12 different cooperation treaties”. For some reason, I got interested to know these 12 treaties or at least get a hint at what they were about. I finished reading the whole article, moved on to the local news section of the newspaper and needless to say I couldn’t find anything. I tried to look it up on the websites of 3 different Jordanian newspapers without getting anything.

I seriously just want to know in what important matters such top ranking politicians decided to waste some precious time of their lives to go through. I mean these people must be up to something.. Didn’t they sign 12 different treaties which were, of course, thoroughly discussed and notched? When I write a “congrats on a job well done” letter to my prime minister I want to know what I’m thanking him for. If you can provide me with that info I’ll be most grateful. If not then I hope our beloved Jordanian media community perish in a giant fireball.  I really just want to know :(
