I had had a couple of posts about hybrid cars in the past. They were mainly talking about technical aspects of such type of cars, but this post, I thought I would need at least another 5 years before I can write it.

 

Actually it is that Hybrid cars had been recently announced at one of the local newspapers here in Jordan to be legal and not just that, but also they are exempted form the customs duties on cars, which we all know doubles the cost for purchasing a car. The point is that this is a great step toward solving energy and environment issues in Jordan. May be explaining to people what is a hybrid car would support such a decision. But unfortunately, the Jordanian engineering association has been only involved in politics and in helping only engineers in their life, like they are the Jordanian labor party. They do not play any role nor participate in any campaign that promotes the awareness for such issues.

 

Regardless, the idea might face some technical issues in the beginning specially when it comes to maintenance, but that is technology babe.
